Recruitment for NSF REU Funded Summer Undergrad Interns

We are actively looking for two summer interns, funded by NSF Research Expereicne for Undergraduates(REU) program, to work with us at SciFi Lab this summer. The NSF-funded reserach project is “CAREER: Towards sensing and understanding fine-grained body postures in daily life using intelligent wearables with acoustic sensing”.

The interns will be advised by Dr. Cheng Zhang and will work on developing AI-powered wearable sensing systems to understand human behaviors in everyday activities.

Eligibility:

  1. Undergraduate student.
  2. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  3. Interested in applying cutting-edge sensing and AI technologies using human centered approach to address real-world cahllenges.
  4. Strong programming experience.
  5. (Optional and Plus) Good experience in machine learning (e.g., took a ML/AL/CV coursese).
  6. (Optional and Plus) Good experience in hardware protoyping or Electrical Engineering (e.g., signal processing, PCB design)
